Cardboard packaging, which usually ends up in the bin or in the recycling container, is Alois Galehr’s material of choice for his objects. The Vorarlberg artist personally soaked, smoothed and ironed the paperboard used in banana boxes until it could be used as a cover for the catalogue of his work. This, together with that fact that the title is individually stamped onto each cover, makes each book unique.
