The Montfort Zwischentöne (Montforrt Intermediate Tones) is a series of events that takes place on three weekends a year, each dedicated to a main theme. The themes are linked to seasonal moods, customs, and festivals. This results in programmes that relate to each other as well as new formats that combine the experiences of artists and experts with the experiences of the audience. In friendly cooperation with regional music ensembles and creative artists, as well as artists and scientists from Vorarlberg. With events that take place in the large concert hall of the Montforthaus, the festival hall of the Vorarlberg State Conservatory and the Old Indoor Swimming Pool. All performances represent contemporary formats of deepened experience between dialogue and music.
The realisation of the 10th edition in early summer 2018 dedicated to the theme of desire was carried out in close cooperation with the typeface designer Nina Sturn (ninasturn.com). And because it's simply more fun and looks better, the subjects were constructed entirely by hand. We also converted parts of the Montforthaus into light boxes without further ado and partly extended them into the public space.
