Die Andere Bibliothek – Berlin
The book series started in 1984 by Hans Magnus Enzensberger and the publisher and book designer Franz Greno has long been a part of German reading culture. For more than 30 years a volume has been published each month that aspires to combine intellectual and visual pleasure and to live up to the title of “Schönste Buchreihe der Welt” – most beautiful book series in the world – (Die Zeit). So far, I have had the privilege of playing a part in this success story through my work on volumes 356 (Hanns Heinz Ewers) and 365 (Paul Theroux).
