Winfried Nussbaummüller was curator and art mediator at the Kunsthaus Bregenz for 15 years before becoming the head of the Department of Culture for the State of Vorarlberg in 2013. His dissertation, which was published in 2012, deals with the term “open work of art” (in reference to Umberto Eco), which he explores in regard to the exhibition projects of the Kunsthaus Bregenz.
